One can already gets parts of KDE 4 installed in KDE 3.5.x. I chose this route
personally. KDE 4.0 probably won't be as stable as 3.5.x, so I'll just wait
another 6 months. KDE 4 challenges many of its rivals (other O/Ses too)
because of under-the-hood changes, not just themes and styles (the superficial
stuff).
