When you create software, you need this software to compete against other
software. When you acquire software, you can steal revenue and eliminate the
rival at the same time. That's the basis for some antitrust provisions. The
legal system no longer minds the rules as long as a friend of a friend of a
friend makes some dough through abuse of the broken system.
