I judt finished installing and configuring it on my new laptop. It's very
good. Just be aware that the documentation, though excellent, hasn't fully
caught up to 7.04.
Compiz is working pretty much without a flaw, as pretty as paint. I had
Beryl on MEPIS before this, but I find I can't live with KDE any more,
though I like many of the KDE apps (K3b is one that springs to mind). I
just couldn't get a satisfactory Gnome set-up on MEPIS, so it had to go.
You could also try Linux Mint 2.2, which is based on Ubuntu, and also has
very good wireless support and more 'out of the box'.
