You should probably consider installing Automatix <

install many packages, which include MP3 support.

Have a look at the menus. You can add or remove software using Ubuntu's
package manager (which is called Synaptic). It should be as simple as
ticking the box next to the software that you require. You might also wish

You can use the Web browser, which is Mozilla Firefox by default. Are you
