How well would these systems perform if someone blew a hole in the ship, disrupted communications and power to the units. Something that is reasonably supposed to happen throughout the lifetime of a warship.

I would imagine, multiple redundant nodes and data paths, multiple independent power sources. Systems designed to slowly degrade in performance rather than fall over because someone entered a ZERO into a date field. Or do you know different.
