| Open source has the advantage that it is possible to develop new
| architectures and then port a large number of existing applications
| to this architecture. The CSS model used by Microsoft does not
| allow this. Hence, any attempt to introduce new architectures is
| doomed to economic failure, as long as we are tied to the current
| development model, because the majority of people cannot get the
| applications they use to run under any other architecture than the
| one for which it was originally written. As such, Microsoft have
| been holding back real improvements in computing.
