The secret KDE application launcher
,----[ Quote ]
| From anywhere in the current KDE/Kubuntu window press "Alt+Space"
| and 'presto' out pops a rounded box with 'useful' written all over it.
| Without delay, start typing the name of the application you want to open
| (in my case it was Gwenview, so I started with 'G' ), and instantly
| you'll see application icon appear inside the previously opened
| rounded box with the letters you just typed being highlighted (see
| screencap below)

KDE 4 menu development
,----[ Quote ]
| The main goals of Raptor are clear: to provide a high quality menu
| everyone will like. This includes an intelligent "My Favourite" section
| (intelligent means really intelligent and not the stuff available today),
| a skin supported menu (png or svg, colour, layout), fancy effects ("rain
| in the menu", whatever that means) and of course searching of all entries
| - at the moment implemented with strigi (which was mentioned pretty often
| at akademy - hope it gets even more boost!).

KXDocker: More than a task manager
,----[ Quote ]
| The basic idea behind Mac OS X's Dock is that when you need an
| application, you click on its icon on an on-screen bar, and the
| application is launched (if it has not been yet) or switched to
| (if it has). Stefano Zingarini has borrowed this concept for
| KXDocker, a KDE variation of OS X's Dock (which is also usable
| with GNOME and other desktop environments).
