Notice the wording. Could be: "Windows Vista will be fine". However, the
above could be interpreted as:
"Windows Vista is going to such, but that's not why I'm leaving".

'xactly my thoughts when I read this. If anything turns out badly (e.g. the
startup Scoble is attending sinks to bankruptcy), it's nice to have a safety
net. Also, it makes a good impression on the new employer. You wouldn't want
to seem like a jackass who burns down bridges. Could make you a risky guy to
employ...

| Niall Kennedy, a high-profile hire from Technorati who joined Microsoft
| in April 2006 as Program Manager for syndication with the Windows Live
| team, has quit. And quit with a bang. From Kennedy's "Leaving
| Microsoft" post: "Windows Live is under some heavy change,
| reorganization, pullback, and general paralysis and unfortunately my
| ability to perform, hire, and execute was completely frozen as well."
| Ouch. Kennedy is off to do a startup, according to his blog, as of August
| 18.

And there's the XBox veteran, Martin Taylor (anti-Linux crusade), Bill Gates,
among many more. It's high-profile departures that get media attention. And
not every employee has some status (e.g. manager), let alone a
frequently-read blog that gets picked.
Best wishes,
