Review: LixSystems LX8100

| Now it's a bit later, and I'm at home again, where I took the machine as
| well. It's upstairs where our 20-months-old daughter sleeps, and that
| should give you an idea how quiet the thing actually is.

| So? My first thoughts were: "Ah, a PC doesn't really have to look like a
| PC", and that is still what I think. It's cute and tiny. Not very deep
| also. It has made big impressions on a female colleague, who wanted it
| right away - and when I showed her the 3 different front plates Andy sent
| us, she was completely lost
|
|
| I think the guys over there at LixSystems have done a great job, and
| they're very community-friendly, too. Besides giving us one of those
| cuties, they now also donated some to KnoppMyth (so expect some work
| from there as well), and the Flightgear crew - which means you will see
| them around on occasions like LinuxTag and such. Plus everyone can
| freely download that preconfigured Fedora image, and even the front
| plates are available under the GPL. Surely enough, these guys know how
| to make good first impressions....
