I rather think that it has.  Had it not been for Microsoft Windows'
dreadful security, the aforementioned unpleasant character would not
have been able to get away with his blackmail trick.  Thus, looking
after our children can better be achieved by not giving them Windows
PCs, where the security hazards in Windows can be exploited in such a
way as to put the safety of our children at risk.

I think he's just trying to look after our kids, whereas I think you're
more interested in the profits of specific organisations, and that you
really couldn't care less about the safety of our children.
