If you look at the tone of Novell's second press release on this
subject (Nov 7) and there "backpeddling" in the "Answers" about the
agreement with Microsoft, it appears that they've already experienced a
pretty serious backlash. I'm guessing the Novell's investor's happiness
will be very short lived. They've basically destroyed their business
(actually SUSE's business) for one *big* bribe.

It appears that they had already lost a lot SUSE customers. So maybe
this was an act of desperation -- kind of like SCO's. Problem is,
they've bought up some good Linux applicatons.

Definitely looks to be the right decision.

People will probably just migrate to someone else. Might be an
opportunity for someone like Mandriva. It's too bad, because I liked
SUSE.
