With all these fundamental patents, one wonders how many will intersect in
one way or another. How the heck can a programmer begin writing a single
line of code when there's a pile of hundreds of thousands or patents all
over the world. Are these searchable at all? And if so, should a programmer
assume literature to be part of his/her job?

Who was the wise guy who equated this to nuclear war that uses threats as a
mutual weapon? In this case, on the contrary, it's a toothless tiger, not a
nuke.
