The article makes the point in too sharp a manner, IMO. I wouldn't use
the word "parasite" or anything negative for someone who is trying to
use Linux, nor would I simply say, If you want to be one of us, you've
got to learn a new language, otherwise tough. OTOH "carlos" is possibly
a paid wintroll, one among many sent out in legions to disrupt any
forum where linux is discussed. Certainly the points he raises are the
standard list of talking points raised by everyone from Didio to the
trolls on this group, and the exaggerations and distortions are the
same, too.
I am not familiar with Windows documentation, but I've seen plenty of
bad documentation from commercial sources, so I know that being
commercial doesn't guarantee good documentation. The linux
documentation is spotty, some good and some poor. I bought two books
on Postfix (not linux, but OSS) and both were poor; I kept thinking,
this takes me back, I had forgotten what it was like trying to read
manuals written by engineers.
