Microsoft got greedy. It thought it had the world in its hand,
unconditionally. Every day I see people who were loyal to Microsoft.
Suddenly they yell out that they have "had enough". The recent writeup from
Gutmann stirred up a lot of activity. The arrogance [1] of the giant not
only led the World Wide Web to a state of chaos where people are threatened
and 92%+ of E-mail is SPAM, but it also helped show that the visions of
Ortwell were justified. And the Stalinists of Redmond are yet to see what
backlash is all about. Vista is RTM'd. It is the longest suicide note in
history, now lying in the belly of a 300pb postbox, inevitably ready to be
shipped to its vocation.
