the newsreader-impaired (me included) might get a "page not found" because of
the trailing slash. *smile*

The article makes no mentioning of Linux, but it sure reflects on what a
miserable state Microsoft's security model (lack thereof) has brought upon
E-mail. It's not sure the volume of SPAM (attributed to hijackable Windows
boxes with trapdoors). It's also the nasty effect which E-mail messages can
have that gives more incentive to spammers (and thus jijackers and
botmasters). Clickfraud, popups and malware come to mind. The SPAM and
malware industries thrive on all of Microsoft's mistakes. All users (Linux
included) suffer mailbox clogup, bandwidth capacity reduction, and increased
maintenance cost (e.g. ISP's, Web sites tolerance to DDOS attacks). Thank
you, Microsoft.
