-Progress made at documentation and understanding of VXL.
-Little progress at implementation of 3-D registration tools.

Experiments

-3-D experiments continued.
-Varying the width of the filter, which is applied to histogram.
-The histogram forms an information-theoretic OF.

Model-based Registration

-Following the student talks on Friday, Geoff Parker suggested that I talk to Gio.
-There is similar work on using physiological models for affine registration.
-We have shared ideas and will meet to discuss ideas further.

Standard Data Registration

-Also after the talks, Mike Rogers showed interest in the registration algorithm.
-His work involve the analysis of protein gel images.
-The code was run on his data and initial results sent to him.

Models and Registration

-Model determinant as objective function now exists as a class.
-Understanding of the AAM VXL module needed.
-Probably not worth pursuing a full implementation yet.
