When it comes to VXL (I had other mandatory degree-related chores), I have been spending a lot of time doing the following:

-Having an initial go at implementation of the new tools:
   -synthetic data generation
   -measuring 'disagreement' between warps given the warps and a volume
-I put both in the repository as a back-up measure
-Much of the past week involved:
   - Adapting to and learning C++ (I have had limited C and Java experience)
   - Learning about VXL as whole
   -Studying VXL libraries from the VXL 'book' and the doxygen on paine
   - Looking at VXL programs, in particular the registration code

I did not want to bother you more than was necessary, but if you have available time, perhaps we could arrange to meet?

Also, I have 2 unrelated questions:

-Would you mind it if I updated introduction_doxy.txt so that HTML documentation gets up-to-date?

-The new tools need to load volumes, just like gir3d_make_warp_sequence. Would it be okay to 'relocate' the  loaders to a separate file?
